St. Louis Childrens Hospital set up tents in parking lot for overflow of patients
St. Louis Childrens Hospital's Dr. Alexis Elward, Medical Director Infection Control (R) and Linda Robert, Manager, emergency services, talk about the new emergency unit overflow tents that have been erected in the parking garage next to their hospital to help accommodate more Emergency Department patients in St. Louis on October 1, 2009. Respiratory illness including asthma and influenza are currently causing Emergency Department visits to increase by about 30 percent. The tents can also serve patients of lower priority if a an outbreak of the swine flu would occur. UPI/Bill Greenblatt
