As can be expected, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad doesn't come off easily in the leaks. The U.S. equates him to Hitler, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak says that he "does not think rationally," and Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah requests that Iran's foreign minister "spare us your evil."

King Abdullah's remarks on Iran are some of the most striking comments to be found in the leaks. Adbullah has repeatedly, alongside Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, implored the U.S. to take military action against Iran in response to its nuclear program, to in his words, “cut off the head of the snake."

Silvio Berlusconi, currently sitting amidst a lengthy series of controversies in Italy, is described as "feckless, vain and ineffective as a modern European leader," in US diplomatic dispatches. These same dispatches also reveal that his “frequent late nights and penchant for partying hard mean he does not get sufficient rest.”

Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev are equated by U.S. diplomatic cables to Batman and Robin respectively, despite Medvedev's higher rank in the government. Putin is described as an "alpha dog" which should come to no one's surprise, and that Russia has become a "virtual mafia state."
