President Barack Obama spoke at the groundbreaking of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.on February 22, 2012. The museum is scheduled to open in 2015 and will be the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, art, history and culture.
