Sixteen clapper rails that were hatched at the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld San Diego and the Chula Vista Nature Center earlier this year and introduced into the marshland as part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's clapper rail recovery program. The decade-old program has now released more than 220 light-footed clapper rails into Southern California marshlands between Santa Barbara and San Diego. (UPI Photo/Tammy Spratt/San Diego Zoo)
