U.S. Naval Academy freshmen perform sea trials (18 images)
The U.S. Naval Academy's freshman class took part in the academy's annual sea trials training exercise on May 16, 2017 in Annapolis, Md.
Modeled after the Marine Corps’ Crucible and the Navy’s Battle Stations, the freshmen -- or plebes -- undergo 14 hours of physical and mental training to mark the end of their first year in the academy.
