This General Motors image shows a new prototype Segway being devolved between the two companies, the electric two-seat vehicle with just two wheels, could allow people to travel around cities more quickly, safely, quietly and cleanly, and at a lower total cost. The collaboration, dubbed Project P.U.M.A. (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility) combines several technologies that increase mobility freedom with zero emissions, enhanced safety, seamless connectivity and reduced congestion in cities. Some drivers try out alternative transportation choices as gas prices continue to rise in Denver on April 15, 2011. Gas and food price increases will affect the nation's economic growth in the coming months. Gasoline jumped 5.6 percent last month and has risen nearly 28 percent in the past year.
