Life-sized Barbie illustrates anorexia
Galia Slayen created a 6-foot-tall model of a Barbie doll to raise awareness of eating disorders. Slayen's creation proportionally turned a Barbie doll into what she would look like if she were a real women. The doll stands 6-foot-tall with a 39-inch bust, 18-inch waist and 33-inch hips. Slayen created the doll for the first National Eating Disorders Awareness week in 2007 while she was still in high school.
