Shuttle "Endeavour" departs for California Science Center (12 images)

NASA's space shuttle "Endeavour" departs the Kennedy Space Center, Florida for the final time on September 19, 2012. Endeavour is enroute on a two day trek to Los Angeles where it will be placed on public display at the California Science Center. The orbiter, mated to the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, will make flybys of NASA centers along the Gulf Coast. As a final salute to the workers at the Spaceport, NASA's space shuttle "Endeavour", and the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft conduct a fly by at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida on September 19, 2012.
