57th Grammy Awards held at Staples Center in California
Lemmy Kilmister (C), hard rock icon and longtime singer and bassist for the band Motorhead, died on December 28 after a "a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer," the band said in a statement. Meadowlark Lemon
Legendary Harlem Globetrotter, Meadowlark Lemon, shown in this December 5, 2015 photo with Miami Marlins manager Don Mattingly in St. Louis, died at the age of 83 at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona his wife Cynthia reported on December 27, 2015. No cause of death has been given. Meadow Lemon III, who became known as the "Clown Prince of Basketball" joined the Harlem Globetrotters in 1954 and left in 1978. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003. Lemon later became an ordained Christian minister and is survived by ten children. Photo by Bill Greenblatt/UPI

Scott Weiland
Scott Weiland, the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, was found dead in his tour bus on the night of December 3. He was 48. Weiland's Facebook page announced his death but didn't disclose a cause. File photo by Michael Bush/UPI

Allen Toussaint
