Israeli archaeologists sift through debris from the Temple Mount (17 images)

Israeli archaeologists sift through debris from the Temple Mount, or Al-Haram Al Sharif, that was dug up by bulldozers at the order of the Muslim Waqf in 1999 and dumped in the Kidron Valley, at the Temple Mount Sifting Project in east Jerusalem, on October 25, 2016.

The Temple Mount Sifting project has recovered numerous archeological remains from the First and Second Jewish Temple periods from the debris.

The UNESCO World Heritage panel is set to vote on Wednesday, October 26, on the controversial Jerusalem resolution that erases Jewish ties to the Temple Mount.
