Archaeologists discovered antiquities ranging from puppets to pottery during a dig by the Israeli Antiquities Authority in Caesarea, Israel, on April 26, 2017. Workers are also excavating a temple that was constructed in the first century by King Herod in honor of Augustus Caesar. The dig, which is sponsored by The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation, is aimed at transforming the area into an international tourist destination. The Rothschild Foundation is investing more than $27 million into the dig.
