The LADEE spacecraft takes a final spin test at the Wallops Island Flight Facility in Virginia on September 5th 2013. During preparations for NASA's Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) observatory launch on Sept. 6th, 2013, at 11:37 pm EDT, the spacecraft went through final preparations and close-outs. The thorough testing included checking alignment after its cross-country shipment, checking the propulsion system for leaks, inspecting and repairing solar panels, final electrical tests, spin testing and fueling.
