The intervention seemed to work like a charm, as Sheen stayed a away from drugs for the next 10 years. He then became the father of four children with former wives Denise Richard and Brooke Muller, and one of the highest-paid actors in television. But in 2009 Sheen's troubles went full circle when he was arrested for assaulting then-wife Miller, and was once again sent to rehab and put on a 30-day probation.
From that moment on a series of increasingly bizarre events (and increasingly covered by the media) took over Sheen's life, costing him his role in sitcom "Two-And-Half Man" and his sober-reputation. It remains to be seen whether Sheen can conjure a second comeback. UPI/Jonathan Alcorn
