As Ted Kennedy was introduced to keynote the 1978 New Hampshire State Democratic Convention in Manchester on September 30, 1978, a small group of supporters carrying signs reading "Elect Kennedy President 1980" paraded in front of the rostrum. Although Kennedy has repeatedly said that he will not be a candidate, Kennedy for President buttons were worn by many delegates to the convention. (UPI Photo/Steve Liss/Files)
