"We are not going to stop fighting with the regime. They did not abide by the signed cease-fire agreement and we are not keen to have it now," Justice and Equality Movement leader Khalil Ibrahim told The Sudan Tribune in a phone interview.

Ibrahim slammed the international community for failing to intervene in the ongoing conflict in Darfur

"We were waiting on the international community for two long years to put pressure on Khartoum to end the killing and oppression of Darfuris," he said. "Unfortunately the international community is not serious in pressurizing Khartoum."

The rebel leader hinted the assault last Sunday was only a precursor of things to come.

"It was just a rehearsal for the attacks to come, and we continue to attack till we change this regime," he said.
