GREENVILLE, N.C., May 5 (UPI) --
Democratic primaries in North Carolina and Indiana are important but neither present a call-it-a-day circumstance, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., said Monday.
"I think that we've made up a lot of ground in the last weeks," Clinton said on CBS' "Early Show. "These are two states that everyone said my opponent would win handily and I think we've turned them into very competitive contests."
She says she's been making campaign stops across both states, adding "we're going to see what happens tomorrow (Tuesday) when everybody gets a chance to vote."
Saying she never makes predictions about the outcomes of contests, Clinton, speaking from Greenville, N.C., suggested maybe Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., be asked to predict the primaries' outcomes.
"You know, his campaign has predicted that he would win both of these states rather convincingly," she said. "So let's see what happens tomorrow and let's see where the voters stand."© 2008 United Press International. All Rights Reserved.
