Canada good for Bill Clinton's income

The newspaper's Washington bureau reviewed earnings for Clinton and his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., released last week along with tax filings. The documents showed the couple had earned $109 million since leaving the White House.
As far as Clinton's Canadian speaking junkets, his best day was in the autumn of 2005 when he was paid $475,000 for appearances in Toronto in one day. The newspaper said that's double his annual salary when he was president.
The following winter, he earned $1.32 million in six days of speeches in seven Canadian cities, the newspaper said.
The report noted that only about 20 percent of Clinton's speaking fees went to him, with the balance to his foundation and other charities.
