BOSTON, April 6 (UPI) -- Massachusetts supporters of Democratic presidential contender Sen. Hillary Clinton said they'd pressure superdelegates to back revotes in Michigan and Florida.

Led by Massachusetts Senate President Therese Murray, a group of women supporting Clinton took their issue to the state's superdelegates, including Sens. Edward Kennedy and John Kerry, as well as Gov. Deval Patrick, The Boston Globe said Sunday.

The women want a revote in Michigan and Florida because the Democratic National Committee stripped the states' delegates for conducting early primaries.

Democratic leaders struggle to come up with a fair way to seat the Michigan and Florida delegates as the contentious race between Clinton and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama may need every vote to reach a conclusive decision ahead of the convention in August, The Globe said.

The Michigan Democratic Party Friday said in a statement "it is not practical" to conduct a revote and the Florida Democratic Party reached a similar conclusion March 17.
