FLEMINGTON, N.J., March 28 (UPI) -- The new Obama girl may be in love with the Democratic presidential hopeful, but she irritates and embarrasses other folks, a national study indicates.

The HCD Research survey of 440 self-identified Democrats, Republicans and independents indicated the emotions most felt while watching the new Obama girl were "irritated," with 48 percent, and "embarrassed," with 35 percent.

The survey was conducted to gauge Americans' perceptions of the new Obama girl music video produced by Barelypolitcal.com, HCD said in a release.

While viewing the video, participants indicated their levels of positive and negative feelings by moving their mouse from left to right on a scale.

A majority of the respondents -- 71 percent -- said they would not forward the video to others if they saw it online. About half indicated they thought the video was produced by "a separate organization unrelated to any campaign," while 34 percent thought it was sponsored by the Obama campaign.

HCD Research is a communications research company headquartered in Flemington, N.J.
