WASHINGTON, March 28 (UPI) -- An aide to U.S. President George Bush resigned Friday after he told his superiors he misused grant funds, the White House said.
Felipe Sixto, a special assistant for intergovernmental affairs, came forward March 20 about improprieties concerning the U.S. Agency for International Development, CNN reported.
The improprieties also involved Sixto's former employer, the Center for a Free Cuba, a White House spokesman said.
The matter has been turned over to the Justice Department for investigation.
