The newspaper, citing sources close to the investigation, said that two suspects were in custody.
Anquiaette Parker, 19, was baby-sitting Cermen Lemont Toney Jr. of East St. Louis, Ill., when both vanished in November 2005. Gregory Parker, Anquiaette's father, said she was seven months pregnant at the time and expecting a girl.
The search of a field in State Park Place, an unincorporated area in Madison County, began several days ago.
"The leads led us here," Master Sgt. Jim Morrissey of the Illinois State Police told the Post-Dispatch.
About 30 relatives and friends watched the search Wednesday, enduring heavy rain.
Parker was caring for her young cousin, known as C.J., at her grandmother's house. Daisy Brown said that she left the two together while she went to church and found them gone when she returned a few hours later.
