ZMEINY ISLAND, Ukraine, March 27 (UPI) -- Twelve people were reported killed Thursday when a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter crashed into the Black Sea near Zmeiny Island.
There was one survivor, reported in critical condition, the Emergencies Ministry said.
The helicopter, belonging to the Ukrainian border guard, was on a flight to the island from Odessa, the BBC reported.
This was the third fatal accident involving the Mi-8 this year, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.
