An Indian delegation led by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee met with U.S. President George Bush and other administration officials Monday at the White House, spending about 35 minutes discussing matters of mutual interest, the Press Trust of India reported.

The U.S.-Indian accord is aimed at helping India develop civilian nuclear power, which would decrease its dependence on fossil-burning fuels, the news agency said.
