BAKERSFIELD , Calif., March 13 (UPI) -- A Bakersfield, Calif., teenager has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and attempted robbery of her father, officials said.
The 14-year-old girl's father escaped after two men allegedly broke into his house and attempted to steal his money, KERO-TV, Bakersfield, Calif. reported Thursday.
The father reportedly told his fiancee that he was going to drive the two men, Ingo Gonzalez, 27, and a 17-year-old, to an ATM at hand over the withdrawn money.
The man drove the alleged robbers to a Savemart, but called police before returning home, KERO-TV reported.
Gonzalez was apprehended on charges of robbery, carjacking and conspiracy. He is faced with five felony counts. The teenage daughter was arrested on suspicion that she allegedly helped to organize the attempted robbery, which occurred Tuesday.
