CHICAGO, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- A Chicago-area podiatrist was being held on $5 million bond Wednesday on allegations he provided prescription painkillers to patients in exchange for sex.

Dr. Steven Paul Loheide, 64, of Algonguin, Ill., is accused of trading sex for drugs on 26 occasions from March 2005 to September 2007, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Loheide's arrest Monday stems from charges of eavesdropping and unauthorized video recording after one of his employees claimed she had been recorded while changing clothes in an examining room.

An investigation by East Dundee police led to a search of Loheide's office that turned up a small video camera hidden on an exam table.

Police also found videotapes and DVDs of Loheide involved in sexual encounters with other women, the Tribune said.
