Robert Frost's historic home damaged

The police said the incident, which is believed to have occurred Friday night or Saturday morning, resulted in the destruction of antique tables, chairs, pictures, dishes, glasses, windows and lighting fixtures, the Wilkes-Barre-Montpelier (Vt.) Times Argus reported Monday.
The perpetrators also vomited in the living room of the home and left empty alcohol containers inside and outside the building, police said. They said some items in the home were set on fire and two fire extinguishers were emptied around the first floor.
Damage to the house has been estimated at $5,000, police said.
The property, which once served as Frost's summer home, is owned by Middlebury College.
