FARMINGTON, Minn., Dec. 28 (UPI) -- A 2-year-old Minnesota girl who accidentally stabbed herself in the eye with a screwdriver escaped without major injury.

Teagon Gislason was treated at the Mayo Clinic for a week, returning to her family in Farmington on Christmas Eve, WCCO-TV reported.

The accident occurred at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, the family said. Teagon, restless during a church service, went into a room where children are under adult supervision.

Her parents believe she picked up the screwdriver and then tripped, the reports said. No one saw the accident.

The only outward sign of the accident is a scar on Teagon's eyelid, although she is still getting antibiotics as a precaution against infection. Doctors said they believe no permanent damage was done to her sight.

"She's our Christmas miracle," said Katie Gislason, Teagon's mother.
