Suit filed over corrosive drink

MCDONOUGH, Ga., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a homeless Georgia man who was allegedly given $5 to drink a corrosive milkshake.

The suit claims that Quinton Wilson, a cook at a Waffle House in Henry County, offered Rex Leo a "Christmas shake" that included dish-washer soap mixed with apple juice and other substances. When Leo balked at drinking it, Wilson allegedly told him he would get $5.

Leo is still hospitalized with damage to his mouth and internal organs. Wilson has been charged with aggravated battery and fired from his job.

The suit names Wilson and the Waffle House in Stockbridge as defendants. Leo's lawyers say the restaurant should have known Wilson had a tendency to violence.
