HOOVER, Ala., May 18 (UPI) -- Andy Bean shot a 2-under-par 70 and won the Regions Charity Classic in Alabama Sunday by one stroke over Loren Roberts.

The victory was the 55-year-old Bean's second on the Champions Tour.

Bean's total was 13-under 203, good for a check of $255,000.

Roberts closed with a 69 after three straight birdies on the back nine, ending up at minus-12.

Jeff Sluman, whose 64 was the low round of the day, placed third at 11-under.

"This week, I was really just very calm," Bean said. "I never really got excited about anything and just kept plugging along."
