QUEBEC CITY, May 17 (UPI) -- Niklas Backstrom made 36 saves Saturday to lead Finland to a 4-0 win over Sweden and the third-place bronze medal in the 2008 World Championship.

Canada will meet Russia for the gold medal in Sunday's final.

Antti Pihlstrom scored twice and Janne Niskala and Mikko Koivu scored once each for the Finns, who only had 12 shots on net. Finland took home a medal in the tournament for the third consecutive season, after a silver in 2007 and bronze in 2006.

Stefan Liv allowed three goals for the Swedes, who had beat Finland in the bronze medal game in 2002.
