PHOENIX, May 15 (UPI) -- Micah Owings threw six shutout innings Wednesday to finally get back in the win column and Arizona held on to edge Colorado 4-3.

Owings (5-1) won his first four starts of the season, but in his next three went 0-1 with a 7.13 ERA.

He allowed five hits and struck out five before turning things over to the bullpen. Three relievers gave up a run each for Arizona before Brandon Lyon came on in the ninth to pick up his 11th save.

Lyon put runners on first and third with two away in the ninth before getting Brad Hawpe to pop out to third.

Jorge De La Rosa (1-2) suffered the loss, surrendering four runs on seven hits in 4 2/3. The Rockies lost their fourth straight.

Conor Jackson singled in an Arizona run in the fourth and Orlando Hudson scored later in the inning on a double play grounder by Eric Byrnes.

The Diamondbacks made it 4-0 in the fifth on Hudson's two-run double.
