CLEVELAND, May 14 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Browns have terminated the contact of defensive back Kenny Wright following his recent arrest on drug-related charges.

Several media reports this week noted that the 10-year veteran was arrested April 3 in Pearland, Texas, on charges of possessing nearly two ounces of marijuana and creating a disturbance outside a police station.

He also faces a March speeding charge.

Wright's ouster Wednesday came after he did not attend off-season training activities for what head Coach Romeo Crennel called personal reasons.

Wright played in just seven games in 2007, making just six tackles.

In 133 NFL games with five teams, the fourth-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in the 1999 draft out of Nevada-Las Vegas has compiled 364 tackles, 13 sacks and seven interceptions.
