INDIANAPOLIS, May 13 (UPI) -- Indianapolis Colts receiver Marvin Harrison has told his team that he was not involved in a shooting in Philadelphia, although he owned the gun.

Harrison discussed the incident with his coach, Tony Dungy, the president of the Colts, Bill Polian, and the owner, Jim Irsay, the Indianapolis Star reported.

A man and a 2-year-old boy were wounded in the shooting April 29. Philadelphia police said that Harrison has been cooperating with the investigation.

"You hope these things hold up to be true, that there won't be any charges and there wasn't any involvement," Irsay said. "Until we hear more, this isn't even a case of innocent until proven guilty because there hasn't been a charge yet."

Harrison is still recovering from injuring his left knee and undergoing arthroscopic surgery to his right knee. Irsay was unsure if he would report to the Colts' mini-camp, which starts Friday.
