It was the first unassisted triple play in the majors since Troy Tulowitzki accomplished the feat for Colorado April 29, 2007, against Atlanta.
The Indians (OTCBB:INDN) had not recorded an unassisted triple play in nearly 88 years. The last time was when Bill Wambsganss recorded the second such play in big league history Oct. 10, 1920.
Cleveland also recorded the first unassisted triple play in the majors when Neal Ball did it July 19, 1909. The Indians are the only franchise to record three unassisted triple plays.
