ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 11 (UPI) -- A three-run homer by Carl Crawford in the sixth inning Sunday helped the Tampa Bay Rays beat the LA Angels of Anaheim 8-5.

The win completed a three-game sweep at the St. Petersburg Times Forum.

Tampa Bay faced a 5-4 deficit before Crawford launched his third homer this season with two outs. B.J. Upton capped the four-run rally when he scored on a wild pitch by losing pitcher Justin Speier (0-3).

Tampa Bay's Cliff Floyd had two hits and two RBI. Upton and Akinori Iwamura had three hits apiece and Evan Longoria had one RBI for the Rays, who have won a franchise-record nine straight home games.

Winner J.P Howell (2-0) retired nine of 10 batters in three relief innings while closer Troy Percival earned his ninth save this season.

LA got three hits and two RBI from Torii Hunter, two hits and two RBI from Garret Anderson and two hits and one RBI from Vladimir Guerrero.

The Angels have dropped four straight.
