MIAMI, May 8 (UPI) -- Matt Treanor hit a three-run homer in a four-run fifth inning Thursday, leading the Florida Marlins to a 7-2 victory over Milwaukee.

Florida's Mark Hendrickson failed in his bid to win his sixth straight start, but the Marlins swept the three-game series and won their fourth straight overall.

Hendrickson threw 109 pitches and was removed from the game with one away in the fifth. Logan Kensing (1-0) did not give up a hit over 2 2/3 innings of relief to get the win.

Carlos Villanueva (1-4) took the loss, allowing 10 hits and seven runs over five innings.

Jorge Cantu put Florida in front in the first with a two-run homer and the Marlins added a run in the third when Hanley Ramirez singled in Jeremy Hermida.

Florida broke the game open in the fifth after the first two batters were retired. Dan Uggla walked and moved to second on an infield single by Luis Gonzalez. Wes Helms singled home Uggla and Treanor followed by hitting a 2-2 pitch over the wall in left.
