DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, March 8 (UPI) -- America's Andy Roddick rallied to beat Feliciano Lopez in three sets Saturday to win the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Roddick, the tournament's sixth seed, won the match by scores of 6-7 (10-8) 6-4 6-2.

It is Roddick's 25th career title in 38 finals on the men's tennis tour and his second this season. He earned $300,000.

"I had to raise it in the second set," Roddick said. "It definitely was a tough match. This was as well as I have ever played in a tournament."

Earlier, he beat second-seeded Rafael Nadal of Spain and No. 3 Novak Djokovic of Serbia, and did not drop a set in the entire tournament.

Lopez did not have any break chance, and had his own serve broken late in the second set to give the former U.S. Open champ the opening he needed to square the match.

Lopez was trying for his second career title.
