COL BKB: Duke 71, Georgia Tech 58

DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 28 (UPI) -- DeMarcus Nelson and Gerald Henderson scored 15 points apiece Wednesday, pacing No. 6 Duke to a 71-58 decision over Georgia Tech.

It was the 799th career win for Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewiski, who will have a chance to reach 800 Saturday at North Carolina State.

Kyle Singler added 13 for the Blue Devils (24-3, 11-2 ACC), who improved to 15-0 at home this season.

Georgia Tech (11-15, 4-8) was led by Gani Lawal and Matt Causey with 10 points each. It was the Yellow Jackets' fifth straight loss.

Duke put together a 12-0 run late in the first half that gave the Blue Devils a 30-19 advantage. Georgia Tech closed within three early in the second half before a 9-2 surge gave the Blue Devils some breathing room.

Georgia Tech came no closer than six the rest of the way.

Duke has won 22 of the teams' last 24 meetings.
