FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Kevin Riley threw for three touchdowns Monday as California downed Air Force 42-36 in the Armed Forces Bowl.
Riley completed 16 of 19 passes for 269 yards and the scores.
Justin Forsett rushed 23 times for 140 yards and two touchdowns for California (7-6), which started the year with five straight wins but dropped six of its last seven regular-season contests.
Robert Jordan also had 148 yards and one touchdown on six catches in the win.
Shaun Carney threw for a touchdown and rushed 15 times for 108 yards and a score for Air Force before leaving with a knee injury in the third quarter. His replacement, Shea Smith, went just four-of-12 passing for 45 yards for the Falcons (9-4), who also got 101 yards rushing and a score from Jim Ollis.
