ATLANTA, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Kari Lehtonen recorded his second shutout this season Saturday to guide the Atlanta Thrashers in a 5-0 rout of the Boston Bruins.

Lehtonen stopped all 26 shot he faced and got the only goal he would need from Slava Kozlov at 7:50 of the first period.

Pascal Dupuis, Bobby Holik, Alexei Zhitnik and Ilya Kovalchuk all had a goal and an assist. Kovalchuk scored his NHL-leading 32nd goal at 11:05 of the third on the power play for the Thrashers, who snapped a two-game skid.

Alex Auld started in net for Boston, but was pulled after the first period when he gave up three goals on 13 shots. His replacement, Tim Thomas, allowed two goals on 16 shots for the Bruins, who have lost a season-high six games in a row.

Atlanta went 1 for 4 on the power play while Boston went 0 for 3.
