MILWAUKEE, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Vince Carter had 23 points and seven assists and Jason Kidd had 17 points and 15 assists Saturday to lead the New Jersey Nets past Milwaukee 97-95.

Richard Jefferson scored 19 points for the Nets, who have won four of their last five games.

Michael Redd lead all scorers with 35 points and also pulled down five rebounds for the Bucks. Mo Williams scored 24 points and had six assists, and Yi Jianlian scored 12 for Milwaukee, which lost its third straight and its 14th out of 18.

The Nets took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter, but the Bucks opened the frame with a 6-0 run. Bostjan Nachbar got the Nets back to within one with a three-pointer and Kidd put New Jersey up 81-77 with a three with just over six minutes remaining.

After a Carter lay-up with less than a minute to go, Malik Allen put the Nets ahead to stay with a jumper with 23 seconds left.
