Weir's 72-hole total was 14-under 266, one stroke better than runner-up Mark Hensby (69). It was the first time the Canadian won a tournament since the 2004 Nissan Open.
He had a tense moment when he fell out of the lead at No. 8, after yanking a three-foot par putt and bogeyed the hole.
Weir and Hensby were co-leaders after the 16th hole, but Weir steadied himself long enough in the stretch run to claim a $900,000 first-place check.
"It's been a long time coming," Weir said after capturing his eighth PGA Tour win. "I can't put it into words. I put a lot of hard work in (and) I really played well today."
Billy Mayfair (68) finished third at 10-under 270.
Sean O’Hair (69) and Carl Pettersen (74) shared fourth at 9-under 271.
