MLB: Tampa Bay 14, Oakland 3

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Jonny Gomes had a home run, three RBI and a pair of runs scored Saturday as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays routed Oakland, 14-3.

Brendan Harris was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Devil Rays, who have won three of their last four games. B.J. Upton had two hits, two RBI and scored twice; Josh Paul had two hits and two RBI; and Carlos Pena had three hits and scored twice for Tampa Bay.

Scott Kazmir (10-8) allowed three runs on five hits with 13 strikeouts over eight-plus innings.

A's starter Joe Blanton (11-9) gave up seven hits and four runs over five innings.

Jack Hannahan homered for the Athletics. J.J. Furmaniak and Kurt Suzuki each drove in a run.
