NBA: Houston 111, Memphis 109

HOUSTON, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Tracy McGrady had 38 points and nine rebounds Sunday as the Houston Rockets posted a 111-109 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The game was tied, 94-94, with four minutes left, but Houston went on a 10-1 run over the next two minutes.

Mike Miller made a three-pointer with 52.6 seconds left to bring Memphis within four, but Luther Head responded with his own three-pointer with 33.6 seconds left.

Juwan Howard had 22 points and seven rebounds for the Rockets, who won their third straight. Head had 18 points.

Miller had 32 points for the Grizzlies, who have lost six of their last seven games.
