LSU made just two baskets in the final eight minutes of the first half, but carried a 25-21 lead into the break when Tasmin Mitchell hit a three-pointer with three seconds remaining.

Mitchell had 13 points and four rebounds; Dameon Mason had 11 points and three rebounds; and Garrett Temple had six points and seven assists for the Tigers (10-3), who have a four-game winning streak.

Randall Gulina made four three-pointers and was the only player in double figures with 14 points for the Bulldogs (6-6), who have split their last four games.

Joe Ross Merritt and Jerry Smith scored nine points apiece.

The contest was part of the final night of the Hispanic College Fund Classic in Baton Rouge.
