TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Senior forward Jermareo Davidson scored his 1,000 career point Friday night as eighth-ranked Alabama beat Lipscomb, 80-58.

He reached the milestone on a second half free throw, which was one of his 16 points for the Crimson Tide (12-1), who had their hands full before winning for the fifth straight time.

The Bisons led, 14-6, in the early stages, and trailed by only 33-30 at the half.

Alabama never trailed in the second half, and outscored Lipscomb, 26-5, late in the contest.

Mykal Riley had 21 points, five rebounds, and four assists; Davidson also had nine rebounds and two assists; and Richard Hendrix added 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Brian Fisk scored 16 points to lead the Bisons (8-5), who had won two of their previous three games.

The only other player in double figures was Eddie Ard, who scored 15 points.
