WASHINGTON, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Antawn Jamison sank two free throws with 12 seconds left Friday night to help Washington edge the Orlando Magic, 112-111.

The free throw gave Washington a four-point cushion and offset a three-pointer by Orlando's Keyon Dooling.

Gilbert Arenas led Washington with 36 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Jamison had 25 points and 11 rebounds; Caron Butler totaled 20 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals; and DeShawn Stevenson added 11 points for the Wizards, who took over first place in the Southeast Division with their fifth straight win.

Dooling, Hedo Turkoglu and Dwight Howard all scored 20 points for the Magic, who have a four-game losing streak.

Trevor Ariza had 18 points, five rebounds and three steals; Howard also had 12 rebounds and four assists; and Jameer Nelson added 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.

With the loss, Orlando lost its share of first place in the Southeast.

Orlando had a 63-59 halftime lead.
