NBA: Cleveland 97, Detroit 84

CLEVELAND, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- LeBron James recorded 30 points, seven rebounds and seven assists Saturday as Cleveland beat Detroit, 97-84, breaking the Pistons' nine-game winning streak.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 18 points and 11 rebounds. Larry Hughes added 16 points, three assists and five rebounds; Donyell Marshall had 13 points and six rebounds; and Drew Gooden posted 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers (18-10), who have won seven of their last eight games.

Both Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace scored 21 points for Detroit. Chauncey Billups collected 14 points, three rebounds and four assists; and Ben Wallace added 11 points and a game-high 18 rebounds for the Pistons (24-4), who lost for the first time since a 92-78 defeat by Utah on Dec. 12.

Cleveland, which led, 54-40, at halftime, out-rebounded Detroit, 46-43.
