SALT LAKE CITY, May 28 (UPI) -- Salt Lake City Police said two people suspected of running a drug operation called the authorities on themselves after apparently sampling their own products.
Police said Mark Leavit, 34, and Gina Hogan, 38, were arrested after they called 911 while apparently under the influence of drugs at the Grand America hotel and told officers that they had been selling drugs, the Deseret Morning News reported Wednesday.
Salt Lake police detective Jeff Bedard said Leavit also told police he had used the free Internet connection supplied by the hotel to download child pornography. A laptop was seized from the room.
Bedard said Hogan also faces fraud and forgery charges after she illegally obtained a credit card in her mother's name and used it at the hotel.
