MCARTHUR, Ohio, May 21 (UPI) -- Authorities in Ohio say a truck driver is facing charges after allegedly stealing more than $600 worth of fuel from another truck.

Vinton County sheriff's deputies said trucker Mike Ebert jumped into the cab of Carl Wilson's truck after the second man allegedly siphoned the diesel fuel, which was priced at $4.39 per gallon at the time of the theft, from his vehicle at a truck stop near McArthur, Ohio, The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch reported Wednesday.

Ebert managed to gain control of the slowly moving truck and brought it to a stop while speaking to authorities on his cell phone.

Wilson, 49, was arrested and charged with a felony count of fuel theft.
